Leather Shield, Ice Shield, Crystal Shield, Onion Shield Knife, Dagger, Mithril Knife, Long Sword, Mithril Sword, Onion Sword, Bow, Great Bow, Wooden Arrow, Iron Arrow, Holy Arrow If you can get ahold of the Onion equipment, then definately change back to it. This will give you a good balance throughout the game. It would actually be wiser to choose to fighters, and two magic users. The longer you use a class, the less CP it takes to revert back to that class. It takes more Capacity Points (CP) to change from a physical fighter to a magic user, (and vise versa) than it would to another physical fighter. There is also two things to keep in mind: You need capacity points (Rewarded after every battle) in order to change classes.

Whenever you reach a crystal in the game, you are given new classes to use. Final Fantasy III introduces the job/class system.
